History: Born to a Crown-heir, his mother struggled to pay the bills. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Dyer. He became a Dyer soon after.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Dyer responsibilities is difficult; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Hugh was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
