Personality: He hates brigands. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. The war was a terrible time for him, and Ernest does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He married young, but lost his spouse to brigands. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered west to less war torn lands. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: He got into the Miller business at a young age. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
