History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Arnold grew up listening to his father's many stories. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Stableman work with an outfit from a few towns over. Stableman work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Spice Merchant arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Dean was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Dean alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and he wants revenge against dire rats

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and to share knowledge with the world

Personality: He has always had a great fascination with Human culture. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
