History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Nicholas has worked very hard to control his curse. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: He is a Lamia in disguise. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Layabout hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Layabout and was forced into it by his family; and he desires power and/or immortality

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Roger lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Shepherd they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Barrister, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Barrister and was forced into it by his family; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature sai.
