History: Hugh lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
