When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has achieved small success as a Spy.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Charles grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Through the years after Tim was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south.
