History: Bertram was born with his father's beautiful face. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 14 years.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to pay off his debts

The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He tends to his Apothecary job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
