History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying west to reunite his family. After a long history of fighting, William and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He takes great joy in being the best Scribe in town.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In his 20th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He struck the Scribe job and began his own company from there.

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. A gifted student he started as a Doctor, but he got bored and became a Courier. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 5 years.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs; and he is unsatisfied with his job

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He worked as a nervous Shipwright and found it very stressful. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and he is unsatisfied with his job
