History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. After coming to the age of reason, John took it upon himself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: Bernard hails from a village terrorized by orcs. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature whip.

Motivation: Many orcs want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it
