History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Roger was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gifted student he started as a Blacksmith, but he got bored and became a Butcher. He has worked as a Butcher like his father before him.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. After a long history of fighting, Aldous and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and retire the richest man in the west

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Adelard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He wants revenge against drow.
