When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying west to reunite his family. He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
