History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Through the years after Gilbert was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Gilbert's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
