Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Dustin fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and many dire rats want him driven away

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. The war was a terrible time for him, and Alex does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born into a rich family. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
