Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Through the years after Kyle was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Kyle's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Kyle and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Shepherd. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He became a Tanner soon after.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. When Gerard reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has worked as a Scribe like his father before him.

Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
