History: Shane lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Shane took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up shortbow and armor he uses now. He now owns his own business.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his 19th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He struck the Crown-heir job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: Anselm was born the youngest of three triplets. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and to reunite with his old friends

History: William was raised in a hard working conservative environment. William abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 15 years.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
