History: Thomas lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Thomas was born on a far northern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Sage. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

History: Randal was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign.
