History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Alex grew up listening to his father's many stories. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature quarterstaff.

History: He got into the Layabout business at a young age. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has never given up on his writing dream.
