When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Description: He wears well tailored suits and hats with beautiful decoration. He is almost always dressed for an outing in high society. His hair is cut close to his head. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Mortician but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. When Gilbert reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

His beard is chestnut, braided, and well cared for. His hazel eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Tanner hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
