History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Hugh alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.
