When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Hugh was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. Balimaar was born on a far northern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Soapmaker. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
