History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. In his 13th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Guard hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. During his travels, Gilbert and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Gilbert discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Gilbert fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
