History: Shane was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. History: He was born into a rich family. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Cartwright. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed.
