Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Ploughman they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Roofer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

History: Hugh lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Hugh alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Hugh was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. When Nicholas reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away.
