History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Bertram grew up listening to his mother's many stories. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. John liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
