Gunter was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Description: A man of a pale complexion, he wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty black coat over it. His blonde hair is greasy and uncared for. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Roland embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.

History: Born to a Spice Merchant, his mother struggled to pay the bills. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Spice Merchant they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Servant, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Conrad fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
