History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Shane embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. After a long history of fighting, Shane and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: He was born in the south. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Trym was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Beneath his clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. He wears a top hat to cover his moderate length blonde hair. His green unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and to reunite with his absent father

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Conrad was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Guard. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 11 years.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Guard responsibilities is difficult; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
