History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He wears dull white sweaters, loose red pants, and alligator leather shoes. Beneath his sweater he keeps a concealed flail, just in case. His chestnut hair and beard is wavy and long. He has several tiny opal earrings on each ear.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Ruler. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Description: He is generally well dressed albeit a few years behind the times. With a patchy red beard and wild red hair. His amber eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. He is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Being a Sailor kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and seeks redemption

Description: The light-skinned man stands 5'5" and does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when he can avoid it. He wears a colorful flower in his golden hair. His amber eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Ploughman arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and he uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs

Description: A man with thick toned arms and a paunchy gut. He tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with his rolled up shirt sleeves this gives him a very relaxed look. His hair is always cut to a buzz. His eyes are a pleasant green.

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: Revenge; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
