Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. Arnold is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and he has money and likes to spend it

History: John hails from a village terrorized by giants. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. Heward enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Heward lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Heward alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Weaver they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Brewer, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Many giants want him driven away.
