History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Cartwright hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

History: Shane was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.
