History: Rolf lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Rolf was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. After a long history of fighting, Rolf and his spouse have recently divorced.

In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Balimaar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted.
