His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Norman grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Norman. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was born into a rich family. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He now owns his own business.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He takes great joy in being the best Hunter in town.

History: Bernard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Hunter. He's also a talented Bounty Hunter, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
