History: Born in the east to a Bookbinder, Bernard learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He's also a talented Roofer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

His childhood dream was to be a Scribe, but he was a colossal failure. He tends to his Performer job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
