When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bounty Hunter they were divorced and he won custody of their son. Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Herbalist and was forced into it by his family; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
