History: Born in the east to a Bather, Gerald learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A gifted student he started as a Cartwright, but he got bored and became a Bather. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Bather.

He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved.

Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. A true patriot, Chad would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Chad grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Chad. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
