History: Tim hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and to reunite with his absent mother

His hair is long and red with streaks of brown, and is pulled back with small white clips. His beard is brown, braided, and well cared for. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines amber.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and to share knowledge with the world

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Mortician. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He became a Mortician soon after.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and money/treasure
