Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Randal alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Nicholas was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.
