History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Personality: Adelard speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.
