History: Ernest hails from a village terrorized by orcs. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting orcs, the young Ernest began to lead the lost caravan. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Some 2 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Kody never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Motivation: He wants revenge against giants.

History: Gifted from a young age, Jocelyn studied abroad. A gifted student he started as a Seamstress, but he got bored and became a Guard. He tends to his Guard job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Born in the west to a Mercenary, Godfrey learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
