History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Through the years after Charles was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Charles's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.
