History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature bastard sword.

Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A gifted student he started as a Stylist, but he got bored and became a Herbalist. He's also a talented Stylist, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Herbalist responsibilities is difficult; and he desires power and/or immortality
