He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A freak accident while working with his Blacksmith father left him crippled. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Blacksmith. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: Don was born with his mother's beautiful face. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Ernest was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
