History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Shane was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Shane grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Shane. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: Henry was born the youngest of three triplets. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Soapmaker they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Bowyer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and regain custody of his daughter

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it.
