Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. Gerard enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Hunter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he has money and likes to spend it

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this eastern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He disdains his fellow easterners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was born into a rich family. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

He has relatively light skin and is very physically imposing due to his abundance of muscles. He has a small bristly mustache and wavy black hair. He is very pretty but has cold, dead eyes.

Personality: He is a Bookbinder first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, John was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Bookbinder for hire.

Personality: Frederick is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and to share knowledge with the world
