History: Hugh was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Hugh alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and revenge

He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. A gifted student he started as a Map Maker, but he got bored and became a Stylist. He tends to his Stylist job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: To be a Map Maker again; and balancing his hectic life and new stylist responsibilities is difficult
