History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Alexandre was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Scribe. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Scribe for hire.

His hair is long and brown with streaks of auburn, and is pulled back with small tan clips. His beard is auburn, braided, and well cared for. His eyes are likewise hazel. His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Everard liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Gilbert alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and he wants revenge against giants
