History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: He is a Sage first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He has all his life been fascinated with music.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. After coming to the age of reason, Gomory took it upon himself to study the psionic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Description: He wears a robe, a symbol of the four houses of cards around his neck, and a hammer on his belt, and carries hammers. His hair is cut close to his head. His gray eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He lacks restraint and is impulsive. He jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: Roger lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Carpenter arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and he has a crush on the local miner
