Adelard's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
