History: Born to a Mason, his father struggled to pay the bills. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. During his travels, Roger and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Roger discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Roger fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Hunter alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and revenge

Personality: Hubert speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has achieved small success as a Blacksmith.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Description: This younger middle-aged man wears rags and sports a simple walking cane, and a wedding ring on his right hand. His chestnut hair and beard is wavy and long. His eyes are likewise brown. His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Gerard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His childhood dream was to be a Spy, but he was a colossal failure. He's also a talented Spy, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and wishes to resurrect an old love
