History: Bernard was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Bernard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

He keeps his long auburn hair kept up in a rat tail. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines gray.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and retire the richest man in the east

Description: He prefers to wear fine silks, though has several suits of combat armor for his hunting needs. He cuts an attractive figure and his suit of old armor is well cared for even if it is obsolete. He has a very tight haircut. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. He is underhanded and not above using his wealth and body to get others to do his bidding.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. William was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. William decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal
