His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Thomas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion

History: He was born in a small island village. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Balimaar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature falchion.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Gerald embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. Gerald liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
